When We Disagree
Words and Music © Matthew Giffin
I am me and you are you
We both have our point of view
What on earth can we do?
When we disagree
I want more, you want less
We both think our way is best
It feels like some kind of test
When we disagree
Should we fight?
Should we shout?
Keep it a secret or let it out?
Should we laugh
Should we cry
It’s enough to drive you crazy!
Take a breath and count to ten
Talk about it once again
It’s ok, now and then
Everybody knows
That’s the way it goes
We can still be friends and disagree.
