Tales Along the Pioneer Trail
A Storytelling, Art and Music Program Featuring Stories About Early Settlers
Grades 2 through 4
Tales Along the Pioneer Trail is a fun 45-minute session that presents stories, participation, laughter, art and music. Students listen with rapt attention as Cheryl retells stories told by early settlers like, 'The Green Gourd', 'The Frog in the Bucket' and 'The Magic Rooster'.
Students actively participate in helping bring the stories to life through dramatization, songs and a story-baed art project. The program supports Ontario curriculum in literacy, social studies, drama, art and music.
